This was one of Cosy Casa's most challenging projects. It involved connecting two apartments on the same floor that had a supporting wall between them, which holds the whole building together and created a problem in dividing the interior space in the apartment. This was also a massive renovation of a badly neglected Arab house that had special openings for the doors and windows, and a front porch with concrete elements that needed to be massively restored because it was crumbling.
We needed to provide a solution for a family with 3 small children, plus a home office, family room and gallery, in an area of 140 square meters, as well as to enlarge an existing porch to be used as a garden for the kids.
The work included engineering plans, interior plans, and the decoration of the apartment, until the entrance of the clients into the apartment.
The design ideas for the apartment came from the existing house which had special elements in the colors of the original floors, the thickness of the walls, the ceiling height, and the four directions that influenced the light in the apartment.
